We are always in Search of Volunteers!

If you would like to volunteer in the school, help on a field trip, or even go to the class for your child's class party, please click on the PALS tab to the left and you find a link to the newest "Volunteer Opportunities" that are available.

Just remember, you need to be PALS approved. This requires a short questionnaire and background check. You can apply on the PALS computer in the front office. Everyone, even if you were approved last year, needs to register again for this year before you can volunteer.

** IMPORTANT **

Volunteers who were screened previously have been granted waivers to work in schools while their new screenings are pending, but new volunteers must wait for their background checks to be completed before they can be placed in volunteer positions.

The Lamarque Elementary PTO functions to enhance the educational experience for our children by fostering the partnership between parents, teachers and administrators. Our objective is to support the school mission through volunteerism and financial contributions and to facilitate communication. Lamarque Elementary provides an educational environment in which students, staff, parents, and community work together to ensure that all students learn and meet their full potential. We provide a welcoming and fun environment for all members of the Lamarque family.

The PTO strives to enhance their sense of community by providing a framework for parents to work in the school. We join forces with staff and act as a vital partner with them to enhance the school environment. Teamwork and respect are key motivators for accomplishing our goals.

Cook Books!

It is not too late to pick up a cookbook.

If you have not purchased yours yet, please feel free to come in during the summer hours and see the ladies in the office.

They have them there if you would like to purchase one.

Calling all Lamarque Artists!

Leave your "mark" at Lamarque

Who: All Lamarque students & staff

What:Paint a 6" ceramic spirit tile

Where:   Any time during summer break

Cost:       $7.25

All finished tiles will be mounted on one of the walls at Lamarque for a lasting legacy.

* All designs must be appropriate for school in order to be placed on the Legacy Wall.

*All tiles will remain at Bisque It once completed. They will be picked up by a Lamarque representative and returned to the school. The tiles will be placed on the Legacy Wall before your return to school in August.

Important Dates

Uniform Exchange : Thursday August 6th in the Cafetorium at Lamarque from 5-7PM; New shirts for $10, etc.

Can drop off used uniform items to the office during summer hours.

Meet the Teacher:  Friday, Aug 21 (times to be announced)  Spirit Items will be on sale as well as L embroidered shirts for $10
